New hobby!

So... Since TJ has taken up hapkido (a type of karate), I finally figured that I needed a hobby. My mom is awesome as sewing and she is pretty much the only one that knows how to do it in our family. I have decided to put every effort towards learning how to sew. My first project was a pillowcase and I think I did a pretty good job considering it was my first project. My next project is a minky dot/swirl blanket for my niece. It was supposed to be a birthday gift, but I didn't get the swatches in time to order the fabric. I will post some pictures when it is complete! Wish me luck! Maybe this is something that I could do on the side for a little extra money. I dunno. TJ says that I can't make up my mind between this and photography... oh well... you can have more than one hobby! I mean good gracious, I saw one of the blankets that I want to make on the internet on sale for $95.00... good gosh. It definitely doesn't take that much to make one... here is the picture of what it might look like... we will see...
And some places around here sell the little baby blankets for $40 to $50 bucks... I will keep you updated on my new adventure!!

Maggie Elisabeth Lindley

The Lindley family welcomed a baby girl on Wednesday, October 8. She was 7 pounds and 15 ounces and 20 inches long. She is precious!! Meagan and I went to visit them today. She is the sweetest thing! She slept most of the time, but that didn't stop us from holding her! Congratulations Lee, Stacey, and big sister, Addison!

Been a while

It has been a while since I have written on this thing.  The months of August and September have flown by.  We went to Southaven last weekend to spend the weekend with TJ's parents for his dad's birthday.  They had a huge family gathering Saturday afternoon.  Mr. Wayne has a big family, so they tried to get everyone to come over to celebrate.  We had a lot of fun!  Earlier that morning, we went to get me fitted for Alison and Robert's wedding in March.  That was exciting!  Of course, it is football season!  Ole Miss played Florida last weekend and WON! By 1 point... but still it's a W!

Stacey, at work, is due on Wednesday, but we had a shower for her at the beginning of September.  I was in charge of the cake!  I think I did a good job picking it out!  I bet you can't guess what it had on it?
With me picking it out.. don't you know it had polka dots on it!!!!  She got lots a cute stuff!  She is definitely going to be missed at work until she comes back.. and YES, Stacey.. you BETTER come back!  Meagan and I will miss our lunch buddy.

The Mississippi State Fair is here in Jackson, so I think we are going to go out there tonight to hang out with my mom and step-dad.. and of course Addison!!

The year is flying by.. TJ and I have almost been married 1 year.  Goodness, time definitely flies by!
