New hobby!

So... Since TJ has taken up hapkido (a type of karate), I finally figured that I needed a hobby. My mom is awesome as sewing and she is pretty much the only one that knows how to do it in our family. I have decided to put every effort towards learning how to sew. My first project was a pillowcase and I think I did a pretty good job considering it was my first project. My next project is a minky dot/swirl blanket for my niece. It was supposed to be a birthday gift, but I didn't get the swatches in time to order the fabric. I will post some pictures when it is complete! Wish me luck! Maybe this is something that I could do on the side for a little extra money. I dunno. TJ says that I can't make up my mind between this and photography... oh well... you can have more than one hobby! I mean good gracious, I saw one of the blankets that I want to make on the internet on sale for $95.00... good gosh. It definitely doesn't take that much to make one... here is the picture of what it might look like... we will see...
And some places around here sell the little baby blankets for $40 to $50 bucks... I will keep you updated on my new adventure!!

Maggie Elisabeth Lindley

The Lindley family welcomed a baby girl on Wednesday, October 8. She was 7 pounds and 15 ounces and 20 inches long. She is precious!! Meagan and I went to visit them today. She is the sweetest thing! She slept most of the time, but that didn't stop us from holding her! Congratulations Lee, Stacey, and big sister, Addison!

Been a while

It has been a while since I have written on this thing.  The months of August and September have flown by.  We went to Southaven last weekend to spend the weekend with TJ's parents for his dad's birthday.  They had a huge family gathering Saturday afternoon.  Mr. Wayne has a big family, so they tried to get everyone to come over to celebrate.  We had a lot of fun!  Earlier that morning, we went to get me fitted for Alison and Robert's wedding in March.  That was exciting!  Of course, it is football season!  Ole Miss played Florida last weekend and WON! By 1 point... but still it's a W!

Stacey, at work, is due on Wednesday, but we had a shower for her at the beginning of September.  I was in charge of the cake!  I think I did a good job picking it out!  I bet you can't guess what it had on it?
With me picking it out.. don't you know it had polka dots on it!!!!  She got lots a cute stuff!  She is definitely going to be missed at work until she comes back.. and YES, Stacey.. you BETTER come back!  Meagan and I will miss our lunch buddy.

The Mississippi State Fair is here in Jackson, so I think we are going to go out there tonight to hang out with my mom and step-dad.. and of course Addison!!

The year is flying by.. TJ and I have almost been married 1 year.  Goodness, time definitely flies by!

8.4.08

As most of you know, my grandmother (mom's mom) has been sick over the past 2 years. She was diagnosed with colon cancer and we were told she should have a very good Christmas in 2006 because it was taking over her body rapidly. She fought and fought over the next 2 years. In the past few weeks, she began getting very weak. She had a stroke a couple of weekends ago and could barely use the right side of her body. She was having trouble swallowing. She fought a tough battle. We miss her dearly, but we are glad she is feeling 100% better and she, papaw, and memaw Chris can watch over us and be our guardian angels. She passed away Monday, August 4, 2008 at 7:10 a.m. Her three daughters and our family doctor were there beside her. She had the support of her family every day and we truly believe she knew that. The services will be Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Lakewood Funeral Home at 2:00. Visitation begins at 12:00.

Also, God was watching over our family because my sister (PJ) works at Community Bank off of Lakeland right next to I-55. The bank was robbed at gunpoint yesterday about 45 minutes after she left the bank. God knew she couldn't handle the stress... and we just thank Him for watching over her. There were a lot more details, but go to clarionledger.com or wlbt.com and read/watch the stories. No one was hurt, but please pray that the bank employees get through the difficult situation.

Needless to say... yesterday was a stressful day for the Tullos and extended family. We have our loving family and great friends to help us through it all.

Lately...

It has been a few weeks since I have written on here... Things were crazy the weekend of the 4th... We went to dad's to eat Friday afternoon and we drove to Southaven Saturday at lunch for Morgan's (TJ's sis) birthday. It was a short trip, but we hadn't been to Southaven since March. We cooked out ribs on Sunday for her birthday lunch/dinner. Of course, I had fun with Adams' parents talking about his sister's upcoming wedding. I finally picked out my favorite 80 or so pictures for our wedding album and got it ordered. I am anxious to see it! I also need to order our beach pictures that we had made back in May.
I am so ready to go back to beach in August!
We went to PJ and Ben's last weekend to hang out with them and swim in their pool. We had a lot of fun. Addison decided she wanted to cut her hair... she now has bangs.. which I think are so cute!! I wish I could have bangs!! I do not think we have big plans for this weekend. A couple of our friends came over last night and we had a blast... I am exhausted though... I am glad it's the weekend so I can relax...
I think TJ's grandparents are going to stop by tomorrow on their way to Biloxi for a mini vacation... We are not sure yet if they are just stopping by or spending the night..
TJ decided a couple of nights ago that he wanted to run an ethernet cord from the router to his PS3 from the attic.. needless to say.. that was a 5 hour experience.. but it finally got done... I was proud of him for doing it by hisself.. well.. with my help! I was a dang good helper, I'd have to say so myself..
Anyways.. that's all for now!!

Harpole - Branch Wedding

So, my college roommate got married this weekend (6.28.08) and I tried to take as many pictures as I could. I am a definite wedding guru... I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing! I have attached some of the pictures! They went on their honeymoon to St. Maarten.. and I know they are going to have a blast. I feel lucky to be able to share that special day with them!

I am also obsessive-compulsive with photography, but we (me and my mom) could only take pictures when the other photographers weren't around and tried to get stuff that they missed! I hope we got some moments that she will appreciate! I know I wish I had more candids at our wedding!

Life!

Just wanted to take a minute to write a little about what is going on in ours lives right now! Things are wonderful! We are loving married life. We purchased a house in September and married in December. He is the LOVE of my life! I am so blessed that God put him in my life! I have a wonderful family! I love them with everything I have! I have great in-laws! I couldn't have picked them any better myself. God is the most important person in our lives! He put us together for a reason. I think we bring out the best in each other.
I like to think that I am very easy going... and TJ can make me laugh at the drop of a hat! We have been out of school for over a year now and we are currently contemplating on going back.. We will see. We only lack 4 - 5 classes before we can sit for the CPA exam. That would be a major accomplishment for us! We want to do it together!
We took a trip to Destin this summer and we had some pictures taken by a great photographer. I have always loved taking pictures and it just made me what to do it more. It's a dream of mine to have a photography business, but right now, we are trying to get on our feet, so I have to take one step at a time. I am thinking about taking a photography course at a local college to see how much I would like it! I think I would love it! TJ told me to go for it! He is so supportive of me! There is so much I want to do with my life! One step at a time! I have been researching cameras on the internet for amateur photographers. Everything will turn out in the end! If nothing big comes out of it... I love just doing it as a hobby!
We have some wonderful friends! We have recently mended some friendships with some friends that we lost touch with a while back. We really missed hanging out with them! I am so glad that we were able to put everything behind us and pick up where we left off! Things are great! Couldn't be better! My roommate from college is getting married this weekend and I am excited about that! I am obsessed with weddings! I should have been a wedding planner! That would have been great!
That's a little about me!
